Extension privacy.
What Lootura saves in your browser and which connections it needs to show the news.
Scope
This page describes the Lootura extension for Chrome and compatible browsers. The Lootura website, Press and original publishers are separate sites you can open from the extension.
Local browser storage
The extension stores your edition, Entities or Headlines preference, welcome-guide state, rotation history, the articles and entities you open from it, the publications already seen for those entities, and a cached copy of received content locally. These let it remember your choices, highlight unread stories and new publications, and reduce repetition. They are not sent to a Lootura user profile or synced through an account.
Required connections
The extension downloads public content from lootura.com. Photographs may load from the bundled copy or the server publishing the article image. These requests expose ordinary technical connection data, such as the IP address, to those servers. We do not request your browsing history.
Permissions and analytics
The extension requests local storage and access to lootura.com to refresh its content. It does not read other tabs, browsing history, bookmarks or the content of other pages. It contains no Umami tracker, ads, remote scripts, accounts or extension usage analytics.
Source links
Selecting a headline, publication or byline opens the corresponding website. Links may include referral parameters identifying Lootura and the extension as the source of the visit; they do not include a personal reader identifier. Destination websites, including Lootura itself, may have their own privacy and analytics practices.
Removing local data
Remove the extension through your browser’s extension manager. Use your browser’s extension settings and data tools to manage or clear its local storage.
